Clinical Passport

The Clinical Passport is a student-facing summary of clinical experience—hours, skills, and checkoff performance across enrolled classrooms. Students use it to track progress and share a polished PDF with employers or preceptors.

Overview

Students open Clinical Passport from the sidebar or from the Passport tab on Profile.

The passport aggregates data from all active classrooms the student belongs to. It is read-only: students document skills and hours through clinical logs, checkoffs, and assignments in their classrooms.

What you see

The passport includes:

  • Summary stats — total clinical hours and overall progress indicators
  • Skills breakdown — top skills by performed, assisted, and observed counts
  • Checkoffs — recent skills checkoffs with scores and classroom context
  • Composition charts — visual breakdowns of experience by category

Data updates as new logs, checkoffs, and evaluations are recorded in HealthTasks.

Export PDF

Click Download PDF to generate a formatted Clinical Passport document. The PDF uses the same layout as the on-screen view and is suitable for job applications, portfolio reviews, or clinical summaries.

PDF generation runs in the background; you may also receive a copy by email when export completes.

Tips

  1. Keep clinical logs and checkoffs current so the passport reflects your latest experience.
  2. Export before interviews or clinical transitions so you have an offline copy.
  3. Review skills breakdowns to spot areas where you may want more documented experience.

Troubleshooting

Passport is empty or missing skills
Confirm you are enrolled in at least one classroom and have submitted clinical logs or completed checkoffs. Archived classrooms may not contribute recent activity.

Cannot find Clinical Passport
Only students see this item in the sidebar. Preceptors and admins review student work from classroom dashboards and Review Logs, not the passport view.
